Andrew Gardner
VP Professional Learning @BrainPOP
For the last 8 years, Andrew has led all professional learning efforts at BrainPOP including the development of a certification program intended to help educators use BrainPOP products effectively. Prior to BrainPOP, Andrew taught young children for over a decade. He has also taught Instructional Design at NYU and workshops for Harvard's Future of Learning Summer Institute.
Robert Miller
Lead Learner @BrainPOP
Robert Miller serves as BrainPOP's Lead Learner, providing professional development and guidance to teachers, schools, and districts using BrainPOP. Before joining the ranks of BrainPOP, Robert taught 4th and 5th grades for 21 years in Volusia County, Florida. Throughout his teaching career, Robert contributed to the development of content within his district, for the state of Florida, as well as through commercial science and technology companies. Robert has presented widely at national educational technology conferences, science expos, and STEM events, highlighting his belief that instruction should be open-ended and student-directed. Within his role at BrainPOP, Robert enjoys seeing the excitement and anticipation from teachers after sharing or demonstrating, knowing that their students will ultimately benefit from a new approach or tool.
Barbara Hubert Ph.D
Director Professional Learning @BrainPOP
Barbara Hubert, Ph.D. is an award-winning Learning and Professional Development Manager with success in the education and edTech sector. She strategically develops and scales adult learning experiences with a focus on literacy, access, equity and inclusion. Skilled in Universal Design for Learning, Understanding by Design, Differentiated Instruction, Culturally Responsive Teaching, Social-Emotional Learning Curriculum Development, Teacher Training, and Educational Research, she has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Urban Education from The Graduate Center, City University of New York.
